On Sunday, May 26^th, at approximately 2:50 PM, officers and other Emergency Services responded to a report of a possible drowning at Sandy Beach in Heber Springs. The victim, a forty year-old Missouri man, was attempting to swim to shore from a boat when he disappeared from sight, He was treated at the scene and then transported to Baptist ER in Heber Springs by North Star EMS, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 4;00 PM.
