Four Incidents Make for a busy Holiday Season For Sheriff's Office Investigators

On Christmas Eve two white males, Justin Barrix, a 24 year old from Houston, Texas, and Rhett Burt, age 23, a resident of Greers Ferry were booked into the Cleburne County Jail, charged with rape. The arrest resulted from a report made by a 18 year old female, in which she alleged that the two had sexually assaulted her at a party near Greers Ferry. An investigation that began in May came to an end on the afternoon of December 30, when Christopher Watson, a 33 year-old Bradford resident, was arrested in White County. Sheriffs Office Investigators took Watson into custody north of Bald Knob on a Felony warrant for Internet Stalking of a Child, after executing a search at his residence and seizing evidence related to the offense. On January 3rd Global Geophysical Services reported the theft of a Kawasaki ATV. The ATV, which had been taken from a staging area used by Global located on Sexton Road, was recovered approximately 12 hours later hidden in the woods. No arrests have been made at this time and the incident in still under investigation. Gregory Moles, a 27 year old Pangburn resident, was taken into custody at the Sheriffs Office Monday January 5th and charged with Rape. The victim in that incident was a juvenile and release of any information pertaining to the victim is prohibited.
