Several arrests made on investigations

On April 6, 2017, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious vehicle seen next to the gas pumps at a gas station in Drasco.  The Sheriff’s Office has received several reports where credit card numbers have been stolen as a result of using their cards at gas stations.  On April 7, 2017, deputies located what they believed to be the same truck, at the gas pumps at the same gas station from the report taken the day before.  Deputies identified the occupants, but didn’t have enough evidence for any charges at that time, and they were released.  Through further investigation, the Sheriff’s Office contacted Conway PD, and asked for their assistance in apprehending the men who were then in Conway.  A search warrant was served on their hotel room, and the three individuals were arrested. Maikys Perez-Sobrado, 35, of Las Vegas, Luis Martinez, 29, of Houston, and Yasel Yedra, 34, of Miami, were all booked into the Cleburne County Jail for Breaking and Entering, and Criminal Trespass.

The investigation continues.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On April 11, 2017, members of the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve a felony arrest warrant.  When deputies arrived at the house, they made contact with the male subject who had the warrant, and advised him of the warrant.  While speaking with him, detectives also noticed items of contraband, which were seized.  Brian Duke, 46, of Edgemont, was arrested and booked into jail for the warrant, one count of possession of a controlled substance, and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On January 6, 2017, a complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to file a theft report.  The victim stated that her debit card had been used to purchase several items without her permission, and provided the name of a person the victim believed to be the suspect.  As a result of the investigation, Stashia Martin, 18, of Drasco, was arrested and booked into the Cleburne County Jail on one count of Fraudulent Use of  Credit or Debit Card.

All Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On January 12, 2017, and then again on March 16, 2017, Cleburne County Deputies took burglary reports from an address on Richwood Mountain Road.  It was reported that over $1300 worth of property had been taken from the residence during the second burglary.  During the course of the investigation, a suspect was developed, and subsequently arrested.  Ronald Smith, 54, of Ida, was booked into the Cleburne County Jail on two counts of Breaking or Entering, and two counts of Theft of Property.
